What we make

One engineering principle, applied to ground, water and structure

IBRAN manufactures three families of construction system: ground reinforcement, surface water drainage, and modular building.

Each is a recycled polymer component whose geometry does the structural work. A grid confines aggregate so it cannot migrate under load. A channel conveys surface water on a fall set as it is laid. A block stacks into a retaining structure held by interlock and self weight. Performance comes from the shape and the material, and installation is groundwork plus assembly, without concrete, mortar or curing time.

For a specifier that means three things: work that is faster and far less weather dependent, a finished surface that is permeable rather than sealed, and a structure that can be lifted and reused rather than broken out.

IBRAN Ground Reinforcement
Ground

IBRAN® Ground Stabilisation

Cellular grids in 30mm, 40mm and 50mm depths, specified by traffic class from pedestrian to HGV. The cell confines gravel or reinforced grass so the surface carries load without rutting or migration, and remains fully permeable.

Structure

PolyBrick® Modular Blocks

Dry-laid blocks for retaining edges, enclosures and low structures. Permeable by design, so no hydrostatic pressure develops behind the structure as it would behind a mortared wall.

VALT® Floor Tiles

Interlocking recycled tiles for gym, workshop and garage floors. Laid loose over an existing slab, lifted and relaid when the space changes.

Performance

Where the standard existed we exceeded it. Where it did not, we helped set it

The demanding case for a polymer construction component is never peak static load. It is dimensional stability under cyclic loading, across a service temperature range, over a design life measured in decades. Every range is tested and published on that basis.

  • 500 tonnes per square metre verified compressive strength on our ground reinforcement grids, tested filled and confined as installed.
  • Axle loads to 25 tonnes across traffic classes from pedestrian to HGV, subject to sub-base design.
  • -50C to +90C dimensional and UV stability across every range.
  • Part M compliant surfaces where required, so an accessible route can be fully permeable without compromise.
  • Published to the NBS BIM Object Standard, carrying verified performance data within the object.
  • 25 year design life across the ranges, subject to documented installation.
Manufacturing

A single specification, manufactured in the market that uses it

We design, tool and specify every product we sell. Production runs on fully electric injection moulding with material traceability from feedstock to finished pallet.

As we open territories we place manufacturing and stock within them rather than exporting from a single plant. Each facility runs IBRAN tooling to the IBRAN specification under one quality regime, so a grid supplied in Rotterdam is dimensionally and mechanically identical to one supplied in Leicester, without the freight, the lead time or the carbon of moving it there.

Regional supply is better engineering and better economics. It is also, incidentally, a great deal better on carbon.

Where we operate

Eleven markets, each served as a domestic supplier

Eleven national storefronts, each in local language and currency, quoting delivered prices to that market.

IBRAN Limited holds its own VAT and EORI registrations, OSS and import VAT deferment, and IOSS. Customers contract directly with the manufacturer, receive a compliant domestic invoice, and deal with one accountable party for specification, supply and performance.

Material

Recycled, always. Which polymer, it depends

The constant across everything we make is recycled feedstock. The polymer is not, and should not be. Different applications ask different things of a material: impact resistance at low temperature, dimensional stability under sustained load, chemical inertness against soil and fertiliser, UV stability at an exposed surface. No single polymer is best at all of them.

So we specify per product, on performance merit. Recycled polypropylene where impact behaviour and flexural recovery matter most. Recycled HDPE where toughness and stress-crack resistance govern. Recycled PVC where rigidity and profile stability are the requirement.

  • Feedstock. Post-consumer recycled polymer from local waste streams. Ground reinforcement runs at approximately 98% recycled content by weight.
  • Production. Fully electric injection moulding on REGO-backed renewable tariffs. On a market-based accounting approach, production-phase emissions are effectively zero.
  • In service. Permeable systems allow rainfall to infiltrate to the sub-base rather than discharge to a sewer, supporting SuDS compliance and reducing flood risk at source.
  • End of life. Recyclable through standard streams for the polymer concerned.

For context, permeable block paving is approximately 8.5 kgCO2e per square metre and tarmac approximately 12.4.

Why

It started with a monkey eating a carrier bag

In 2014 our founder was beside a sungai in Malaysia when he watched a monkey pull a plastic bag out of the water and start eating it. Not a statistic, not a documentary. An animal a few feet away, consuming something we manufacture and discard, because to it the bag looked like food.

Making less plastic is the obvious response and somebody else's job. The harder and more useful response is to take what already exists and engineer it into something that cannot get back out. A grid installed beneath a driveway holds several kilogrammes of recovered polymer immobilised for twenty-five years and longer.

That is the commercial logic of this company. Everything technical on this page follows from it.

For specifiers

Specification data, without a form in front of it

BIM objects for Revit and IFC published to the NBS BIM Object Standard. Technical datasheets, specification clauses, declarations of performance and installation detail. Quantity calculators for aggregate, sub-base, area and gradient. Application guides giving the build-up, sub-base depth and installation sequence for each use case.

All of it free, none of it gated, in every market language we publish. If you need something we have not published, ask and we will send it.

Working with us

📐
Technical support before the order
Send the area, the load it takes, the ground conditions and the finished level. We return the build-up we would specify, at no cost and with no obligation.
🚚
Domestic supply
Delivered, priced and invoiced locally in the markets where we are established. Where we are not, we will say so and advise on the alternative.
📄
Documentation that survives review
Declarations of performance, verified test data and BIM objects published openly, so the file submitted to building control is the file we publish.
Partnerships

Own a territory. We will send you the customers.

We are building a network of approved partners worldwide, and we are allocating territories now.

We place manufacturing, inventory and customers with partners who earn approved status, in territories we protect. We publish in eleven markets and receive enquiries from markets we cannot yet serve directly. In your territory, that demand would come to you.

You are not building a market from nothing. You are answering one that already exists.
